Snow seems to be a big theme for the band, especially this song.

The theme to Team America with the lyric "America!" being replaced by "Dragonborn!".

It just seems to follow it nicely. The band seems obsessed with snowy mountain themes, and the way the lyrics describe things. I thought it was very interesting, maybe I'm biased because it's a fav band of mine, song too.

I agree, those songs hold a special place in my heart ... I am going to mod them back into the game when I can be bothered.

Not a big fan of mixing modern music with ES. Just seems very, very out of place to me. To each their own, I guess.

Thanks for the replies. I found it very interesting, but as I said, being that it's a favorite song of mine probably skewed my reaction a bit.

Also, if we have any Skyrim guru's here, I could use a tip I think.

I'm lvl 58, mostly one handed/heavy armor, plus very high destruction/restoration with tons of magicka. I sacrificed on Stamina to have a nice pool of Magicka, but they're both really high.

Anyway, I have an Ebony Mace, maxed and enchanted to uber epic lol, and, now I find, even the very best destruction magic (Fire is maxed) cannot compete with my melee. Destruction and One handed are both maxed, I have the best spells and perks for both.

Will melee always be a bit stonger, simply because you gotta get in close? Would make sense as for balance, but I wanna start my second playthrough and go Mage all the way.

Is my mage simply not as good as my very complete warrior build because I'm not using gear that's enchanted to improve my mage skills? Because all of my gear is enchanted to improve my melee abilities.

I can't understand a word from that singer in the OP. If there's one thing I hate in rock/metal, it's gutteral growling like that.

I'm not convinced people have read my OP. It's not just about whether the song compliments Skyrim directly and accurately.

Well thanks for the replies anyway. I believe this band is incredible, I've found even those who don't like the vocals still fall in love with the remaining audio work. They're elite among the genre, for what it's worth.
