I decided it was time to make an official release thread for this thing. :)

While the Pip-Boy 3000 was great in it's own right in FO3, I was a little disappointed when my player character in New Vegas got an identical one strapped to his/her wrist. I really wanted to bring back a little more of the classic Fallout flavour to the new game, so I created the Pip-Boy 2500. It's the (fictional and non-canon) middle child between the recent 3000 and the classic and rugged 2000 (as seen in FO1 and 2). I'm an amateur 'modder' and have poured many hours into the model and skin -- I'm really hoping some classic Fallout fans will catch wind of it and give it the support it needs! I've been updating the model and texture pretty frequently actually, but the mod hasn't really gotten a lot of love.

And please, post here and comment and endorse the mod on the New Vegas Nexus -- it's the only way to get other people to know about this mod!

Have fun and much thanks!

I love you. Did you know that? It's so beautiful.

...Marry me.

This is one hell of a call back, and my gaming experience will be all the more amazing thanks to this handy dandy piece of awesome. So how compatible is it with DarN?

100% compatible with DarN's HUD. :) In fact, you can see them in the screenshots! :D I'm glad to hear you like the mod.

Hot damn that is pretty. Takes me back to a simpler time, when mutants were mutants ya know? Not these chupacabras with automatic weapons.

While I love this, every time I open it, it takes a noticeable half a second to load.

This is a known issue. It is unfortunate that it has to be this way, but it is due to the fact that the game must load the model each time you press the TAB button -- So it is really just dependent on your computer speed as far as I know. :( This is a problem that is carried over from the Readius (which everyone seems to love even though it's really lore-unfriendly).

I have 3 gigs of RAM enabled with a 1 gig video card. But I guess it's just the engine...Think Syrim will enable 4 gigs of RAM?

New engine, so probably yes.

Yep, the new engine will, no doubt, take advantage of powerful PCs. Can't wait to play Skyrim. :)

I remember The Readius having this problem that if you're carry weight was being enhanced by an armor (like PA) and then you go to fast travel, it unequipped your armor for a split second, you go over your encumbrance for that split-second, and you fail to fast travel. Is this issue apparent here, too?

This is a deal breaker and the reason I had to get rid of readius, but I hope the issue isn't here, because I love the look and lore friendly-ness of this mod.

Heh, the current skin i use with the Readius looks almost the same. The LCD screen of it does bother me some (everything in the games says such technology was not developed in Fallout world) so i might as well give this a shot.

This one seems to be missing the quick radiation gauge, if you could add it in the style of the date display of the original 2000 (if that is even possible ), it would be a great addition.
