The Power of a Portal Gun in the Palm of Your Hand

Ok, well kinda, but not really.

For $140, I'd honestly be concerned regarding the quality of the gun. I'd think that it would cost more for something if it was made really well. If more details come out saying that it's put together nicely, I'd really consider buying it.

http://necaonline.com/ (the guys who are making the Portal Gun) make some really awesome stuff, so I see no reason to doubt the quality.

Good deal, considering they're limiting it to 5000 in the whole world...

Hmm... doesn't seem as authentic as that lady who made a scale replica a few years ago.

This one is a scale replica...says 1:1 re-creation in the item description.

This is honestly something that I'd buy and never take out of the box. If there are only 5000 of them, God only knows how much the value will spike.

This thing is useless without the Long Fall Boots (so you can protect the Portal Gun) and Combustible Lemons :P.
$140.00 eh----oh yeah I'd buy that heck I've bought stuff online at that price and more B).

The company I work for has NECA stuff coming through all the time. 99% of it is awesome. I was upset that the Gears of War 2 Cog Dog Tags were metal but the Gears of War 3 ones were plastic. Other than that, everything was great and at a decent price, so I'd assume this would follow suit.

Good to hear. I'm seriously considering buying one of these bad boys now :P.

For the record (and the title is still fool'd :P), these guns went on sale today at Thinkgeek.com, but promptly sold out in roughly 30 minutes. I was subscribed to them to let me know when they got them in stock, and I got the email and managed to order one before they sold out :D.

I almost didn't go through with it, because they said that some of the boxes that had the guns were damaged, and I'm really considering not actually opening the box (with only 5000 made, this is an uber collector's item). If another website gets a shipment in and the boxes aren't damaged, I might cancel my Thinkgeek order and try to get one with an undamaged box.
