So according to the new Gameinformer I have sitting in front of me, we will have the ability to alter our character's appearance mid-game when Dawnguard is released.

'The ability to change your character's face was something that came up often in feedback,' says [Matt] Carofano. In response to those requests, Dawnguard adds a character hidden down in the Ratway of Riften who can alter your appearance. Race and gender are still locked, but you can tweak your other facial features in case your hero doesn't look as awesome as you initially thought."

First of all, thank you Beth for incorporating this. I can't say how many times I've played through the intro because my character's face was jacked-up after I created him. I was wondering though, if you would be able to alter your character's body weight? The article specifically mention facial features, however I think it would make sense to be able to change weight. After all, realistically people lose/gain body weight much more often than they change the whole layout of their face! (excluding plastic surgery)

I like the look change feature. I do agree with you that you should be able to change weight. As long as you can't alter your facial features. Also it's annoying that it is thieves guild. I've to be a criminal to change my looks? D:

Roleplaying a new haircut becomes a challenge. Sure I will think of a way round it.

Old news is old.

Still, I'm glad their adding it in. I'd like to touch up my character's appearance if only a little, since I thought they were wonderful in character creation, but they look a little off in the actual game. This'll give me the chance to change my Imperial's silly looking eyes. He'll finally look impressive.

He said the Ratway. You probably meet him in the bar BEFORE the thieves guild. Or maybe even in the sewers before that. The entire underworks of Riften is the Ratway.

Bu t well,I love it! Most of the features added in dawnguard is stuff i have been asking for,for a long time.
I just wonder what we can change,Warpaint,hair,beard, colour? also i wonder if they added some new hair/beard styles. I dont think so but,lets hope.

Happy to tell you, you don't have to be thief to go into ratway. only to do any guild guests, so you don't have to be a thief just kinda go in dark places

The barber will likely only do hair, unless they were to do like in Fallout 3 and add a guy who does facial reconstruction.

Heh,Yeah,I am wondering what you can change,we know we cant change race and six. But what else cant we change?

Maybe they could add a gender change.... except it could only be done to men, and only once. I'd do it just to see the funny dialogue from people.

My only objection about having 'just a barber' would be well, the Argonians may be a bit left out.

I think that's what it is. I read some more of that article and I believe it said almost exactly that. Cant change race or gender but everything else is fair game :cool:

I think I will give my character some scarring since he's been in some epic fights! That, and maybe a bigger more epic beard!!
