Is the 1_5 smithing fix mod still needed?

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 9:34 am

I have a mod for this installed, but if it isn't needed anymore, why let it take a spot?

Is it still needed?

Did they fix this in 1.6?

Thanks!

31 views, no one knows?

I guess it can't hurt to keep it in the mix, lol.
It is redundant at worst.

I suppose that depends on what you're defining as fixed :)

The problem had to do with leveling up the smithing skill too fast just because you made a powerful item.

I made one high level sword and my skill jumped 8 points for instance.

Is that still happening with 1.6?

If you remove it, craft ten Iron Daggers and gain 30 points of experience, then you need to keep the patch, but the issues are caused by Mods made for earlier versions of Skyrim.
If you know which mod is causing the issue, then see if it has been updated.
I still have copies of some older versions of Dwemer Certified that would cause my Smithing to go from 15 to 45 by crafting a set of Leather Armor.

Ah so it was mod driven issue too? I was kind of fuzzy on that part.

Any smithing mods that are post 1.6 friendly?

Ars Metallica by Arthmoor, I think any mod made with the CK for version 1.5 will work as well.
