The Sound of Rage!

Yes the gameplay looks amazing. Yes the graphics blow eveything away. Sound, WOW! I started watching more Rage videos today and for the first time I noticed something spectacular, the sound of rage. Especially the new co op video. I'm thinking I need a surround sound, at least a good one. For some reason sound is huge for me but lately I've been slacking. I sold my good one when i moved and now I'm kicking myself in the butt. Anyone know the technology behind the sound? Is there a video or article that talks about it.

Anyway I had to share that I was blown away by sound. What do you think? I love when a grenade goes off. This game is gonna be the 'insert bad language'. Rage just looks and sounds so clean. I hate video games that feel cheap. If you can understand what I am saying I like when a game feels solid or almost heavy. Even though I can't wait any longer for it I still would understand if the date got pushed again. Major glitches and flaws can ruin my experience. I hate waiting for a week to get a patch for something that should have been fixed before release i.e Dead Island. Um huge flaw. Game erases saves or puts you back about 8 hrs hue or take. I wanted something to pass the time until Rage but now I'm thinking I should of put that 60 toward a decent sound system. I wonder how the ps3 headphones that were just released will sound with Rage. Anyone have them yet?

I think that rage will come with 7.1 sound "PRO LOGIC" is the best in surround sound so far.

Rage is well and hopefully will be more than a great sound.

I have an Asus Xonar D1 which is just perfect for gaming but not too much expensive since it's not studio-grade.

I hope there are a lot of options to tweak the sound ... so many games neglect sound, the most uncredited area in mainstream gaming ...

It's weird when you think that sound often takes a back seat to visuals. Isn't music more popular than movies or art?
