the "do the opposite" of what you want character

I'm a terrible role-player. My characters always end up being practically replicas of my real world self... as far as behaviour goes, that is.
You know...I try to be non-confrontational, polite, someone asks a favour of me and i do it. An all-around nice guy.

I've often been tempted just to DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE of my first response, except I'd probably feel terrible about laying waste to critical NPC players and siding with the Imperials.

Has anyone done this? Played the game based on doing the opposite of what you 'wanted' to do? I would assume that Bethesda, more or less, counts on the game being played a certain way regardless of class choices or quests done. Does the game punish you in a way for not being moral? Will you "break" the game in any way or is it really that flexible?

Waiiit, you feel like a good person siding with the Stormcloaks? And I'm pretty sure they count on the game being played any number of ways. VINPCs can't be killed anyway. They just take a knee and get back up after a moment. The only thing you get for killing everyone you can in a town is to spend a bit of time in jail.

In the game I am not opposite of what I am except by the fact that in real life I am not evil either murderer. But I like to strike back and never let anything loose... Debts unpaid.. I make everyone pay.

It's common for us to take our spirit into the game and "roleplay" as ourselves. We may feel like warriors in real life. :P
In particular, I am still waiting for the CK to come. I'll model myself or something like this.. just to feel the odd sensation of beeing in the game. xD

Maybe that's strange,
