The Two Worst Glitches/Bugs in New Vegas

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:23 pm

There are two glitches/bugs/oddities in New Vegas that are still yet to be fixed, and in my opinion are seriously game breaking and easily fixed.

1. Only a couple Legionaries at the Fort drop ears upon death. This, for me, makes an Ear to the Ground pretty much impossible to complete, because I've already cleared out every other Legion outpost. I'm no software developer, but of all the glitches there are in the game, you'd think placing an item in the inventory of 40 or so NPC's would be one of the easier fixes.

2. The impossible to obtain NCR - Followers of Apocalypse ending. One of the most sour things about the ending I see in New Vegas is that the Followers are always pushed out of New Vegas. There is already an ending in place for an NCR-FoA pact, but for some reason you can't ask Julie Farkas about it. Again, I'm not a software developer, but adding a dialogue option to allow the "good" Followers ending shouldn't be that difficult.

Is there a place to post this, I'm sorry if I should be contacting developers through email or something like that, but there are so many tiny glitches that I've never really run into being fixed in each new patch and it surprises me that these two most likely easily-fixed problems are still part of the game.

This is just your own fault for not starting the quest before clearing other areas. I've found ears on Legionaries all over.

That's nice to hear, about the Followers of Apocalypse glitch, but honestly the game shouldn't punish me for doing things slightly out of order. There's no reason why Legionaries at the Fort should not drop Legion Ears, as this is the hub for Legion activity.

Once Caesar learned that the NCR were giving out rewards for his legionary's ears, he ordered them all removed preemptively.

The patrolling Legion in the area/hills near the Booted/Ranger Andy's old NCR post quest spots respawn. Just go there & kill, wait a few days, kill, etc.

Choices and consequences. Want to do things different? Then start a new game.

To be fair that's nothing to do with choice or consequences.. at least the part you quote.
A glitch is a glitch, an oversight an oversight.
If he was complaining about actively killing a quest giver with knowledge and afore thought then moaning about not getting a reward for failing a quest I'd agree with you.

OP LadyC is right, legion respawn all the time, just keep waiting / resting / running north to south again and again and they'll rack up.
Also nice to hear about the endng glitch.
