Well, when the vampires are tearing the Dawnguard apart, we should be able to use their weapons against them.

But seriously, Dawnguard get armored trolls, and the vampires probably can't actually make the crossbows, or dragon bone weapons. Just loot them.

I wonder if the armored troll can talk, like how else would it understand commands haha. Either way of choosing sides im still going to play both because vampire lord looks too good to resist and not to mention vampires also get there own types of hounds. But armored troll does sound so inviting so i will play both sides.

Apparently the trolls can speak, and even have their own weapons and cultures in lore. Not in Skyrim though, so maybe they will be expanded on.

Not everything you kill provides, in loot, what it appears to have. There's a reason why Vampires don't get crossbows, don't think you can 'twist' the system and still get crossbows. General knowledge.

I doubt they would completely block out vampires from having crossbows. I think too many people would complain. Not being able to craft the crossbow itself or the bolts would be a decent balance for Vampires/Dawnguards. Either way, we just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure anybody can craft dragonbone weapons. I don't believe its faction-specific. After all I think its being integrated with Dragon smithing.

You CAN use crossbows as a vampire....you can see it clearly in the E3 footage. And what is general knowledge? It should be common sense that any weapon flagged as "playable" will be able to be used no matter what. Cross bows are flagged playable, obviously. You kill and enemy and take their gear. They wouldn't be made unlootable to vampires specifically, that would be an inconceivably dumb integration.

or dragon bone weapons.

That is like saying vampires can't already make ebony weapons. Dragonbone is just a new weapon type being added into the preexisting dragon smithing.

They said hire, so I'm hoping if one dies you can hire another. I'm also curious how much it costs to hire one, how far down the quest line you need to be, and if they level with you. Time will tell.

Ahh true true, got me there. Well why not everyone become vampires? Now I feel as if the vamp hunters aren't all that special any more. I hate that they don't boast about the hunters, it was always about the vampire lords.
