2011 Spike Video Game Awards

Hey everyone, the Spike VGAs are tomorrow! In the past this forums has been somewhat against the VGAs and their nominations/mainstreamness. While I agree that the VGAs are mainstream and tend to allow CoD games into categories they don't belong in, the show is still fun and many great games are announced there, Skyrim for example.

The poll is for us to contrast what us forumers think should be GotY with what the guys at the VGAs think should be. In any case, Skyrim should win here and at the VGAs. I've only included the games that they have nominated, though I know some will want to add other games. This is because this isn't a "GOTY" poll, its a poll to see what we think compared to what "they" think.

This thread is to discuss the VGAs in anyway, whether that be criticizing its mainstreamness or talking about the upcoming game from Bioware.

Last year's VGAs made December 11th the happiest day of my entire life. Not even the release of Skyrim could match my excitement for the announcement. NOT EVEN CLOSE! And I am one of the guys who loves Skyrim to bits and defends Bethesda (sometimes even when they did something completely wrong).

I personally didn't care much for the presentation, either. I hope they go for something a bit different, although the lights were cool.

Inbe4 Skyrim dominates the polls. I haven't played the new Zelda yet but will this week. Also still need to play Arkham City so I won't vote for now.

Just watched the bonus round for Skyrim. They hardly said any negative things about the game besides the fact a lot of people won't play the game just because it has 100+ hours of gameplay.
