The weirdest bug you've encountered

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:35 am

Mine would be seeing a horse fall out of the sky and plop to its death while I was trekking up a mountain to get to the Shrine of Azura.

My reaction was pretty typical: WTF?!??

I was fighting a Giant with Lydia and she got killed in the battle. She wasnt rejoining me after the battle and I couldnt find her so I fast traveled to the same site as the fight. The giant Camp - when I arrived - Lydia had her head in the ground like a spear stuck at my feet with her feet straight up in the air. When I moved away, she droped to her face on the ground and as I moved away - she slide around on her belly and talked just like she was standing next to me. So after we all had a great laugh about it, I told her to go kill this guy - and she slide on her belly over to him and started a battle....After I fast traveled back to Whiterun, she was back to normal and I havent seen that bug since - but it was seriously funny.

I'm not sure...it's a toss up between flying mammoths by the watchtower or the same people stuck waste deep into the road outside the stable at Whiterun...if it keeps happening then one day I'm going to head out of town and all the townspeople of Whiterun will be stuck half-way into the ground just outside the stable...yacking it up like there's nothing wrong.

WAIT! I didn't look very closely...it's actually two copies of the same guy Louis Letrush. One of them is waste deep into the road outside the whiterun stables and the other is standing on the road with his back to the half-buried one...they are both named Louis Letrush and they both respond with "Yes?", "need something?", "Good Morning!", etc.

There was one time I absorbed a dragon soul, but I never killed the dragon. I could hear sounds from the dragon before, but I never saw it. The only thing I can think of were the wooden spikes that hurt you just by touching them, and the possibility of the dragon fitting in the pit with the spikes and getting itself killed somehow. I also saw blood on the ground from where I think it was having me absorb the dragon soul, but I never saw the dragon there.

I haven't actually had many bugs so far. The best I can remember is occasionally getting stuck mid-jump, but being able to move around still, sort of floating with my knees bent in the air, and my arms flapping, outstretched, as if I am flying.

I was fighting one of the mini-boss necromancers that teleport around a room. He was at the top of a staircase, I was at the bottom, and just before he teleported I used unrelenting force and smashed him into the ceiling. The rest of the battle he got stuck in an animation that showed him laying down.

Not a very weird bug but most of my game issues have just been CTD.

I encountered a dragon a while back hovering in one place outside of whiterun. As I got closer it began to fly eradicly and began doing 360's, and then started flying backwards until it got stuck slightly inside the side of the mountain. And just earlier today the I saw the Noble guy on horseback was sliding all over the tundra atop of his horse extremely fast, the horse then shot straight up into the air and came back down killing the horse, but he was still alive mounted sideways on the horse.

The blacksmith's daughter in Riverwood likes to help her father. To do so, she grows to advlt size to use the workbench. When she's done, she shrinks back down.

The weirdest bug I have encountered happened outside of Whiterun. I was fighting a blood dragon (ice breather) and he was just flying around fighting the guards breathing ice on them..you know the usual [censored]. Well, all of the sudden, he started to fly away. As he flew away he breathed ice breath and the ice breath stuck to the ground. It looked like a waterfall from the distance because it was frozen mid air. The humorous part was what happened to the dragon. Think about riding your bicycle and you stop with the front break and you fly over the handlebars. That's what happened with the dragon. It flipped about 5 or 6 times before crashing into the ground and insta-dying. Best dragon kill ever.

My weirdest bug isn't that weird at all. A dragon flied straight through a tower and another one flied inside the ground for a while.

i have had very few bugs up untill now.

the two kind of funny ones i have seen were a dagger floating in mid air, i took it as a sign that i should travel in that direction and found a bandit camp a got some good loot.

the other was when i was walking in the wilderness following a river, all of a sudden a rabbit came down the river a break neck speed, i ran to follow it but it was going a lot faster than i could sprint, i kept up with it just long enough to see it disappear over the edge of a water fall. rip bunny.

Strangest one just happened to me earlier tonight. I walked out of The Bannered Mare. To the left Sigurd was chopping wood like he always does but Ulfberth War-Bear the guy from the blacksmith's shop. He walked into Sigurd as he was swinging the axe. Ulfberth War-Bear dropped dead.

At first I thought it was funny and didn't think too much about it. But then I fast travelled to Riverwood. Once I got there the whole town started to attack me for no reason
