The worst enemy you've ever faced

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:58 am

I find Spriggans tough as a Mage, normally because they come in twos and threes, speaking of Mages
Spoiler
That guy down in the Meadery basemant, I was not expecting him and the first time I entered, he fried my ass.
I also found Morokei quite tough, but then I broke out my Bow and laid a ton of paralysis on him.

Generally Briarheart mages are the most dangerous IMO.

What's the worst enemy you've ever faced?

For me, it was Drela from Drela's cottage. Mother of god, he uses the most powerful attacks I've ever seen a wizard use. When I encountered him inside his home where he immediately became hostile, I was like "fair enough. He just seems like your run of the mill wizard". So, doing as I normally do, I charge him and power attack him, when suddenly BAM! He uses a flamecloak spell and kills me in one hit, and my heavy armour rating is 397 at level 24.

So I reload, try again, and he starts using flamecloak and summons a pretty powerful frost atronauch, and I died within minutes of facing him as he used frost spells on me.

That said, I don't think I'll be going back there for quite some time.
Agreed. He is a badass. Gonna load up on potions and have a level increase ready when I decide to take him on.

The quest where you have to switch off the lighthouse to make the ship crash. I wont spoil it but the final battle in the caves. The leader in there with a 2 handed hammer killed my partner and smashed me to peices. Took me about 3 attempts till i figured out the art of well timed side stepping. :)

Toughest so far? I`ll try not to give away spoilers, but it was this Spirit demon Lord thing that appeared behind me when I looted a chest and was about to get a Shout. He would one shot shoot me with a pop-cicle through my head- dead. My Follower for some reason, totally ignored him, even when he zapped her full of icicles too. Don`t know what was happening there.

After 10 attempts trying to kill it and dying, I ran away into a nearby dungeon and relaxed, sheathing my sword. To my shock he followed through the door!!! What the ? They never usually follow you through a door.

One shot through my startled face - dead.

So on reload, I just jumped down the mountainside and ran away. Never did get that Shout off the wall. :(

Chickens.
I'm not even joking. You kill one then the entire town gets all up in arms attempting to kill you.

This and a lot of Sabre Cats. Or these weird Chaurus bugs :P

Yeah I wandered into that when exploring and thought
So reloaded, sneaked in , paralysed him and beat him to a pulp HAH! :D

It kind of depends what kind of character I'm playing. Toughest overall are the Dragon Priests for me, if I'm playing a melee character they damage me a lot before I can get closer for a hit, but in later levels (like 30-35) with my sneaking archer Wood Elf I was able to stay in sneak mode and kill some of the Priests before they even spotted me. Chaurus and Hagravens are a pain in the behind overall.

The Ancient Dragon south of that village that is east of High Hrothgar. That was an epic battle, I'll never forget.
