I was watching a skyrim video on youtube located at http://youtu.be/K9Gf_ERmukE and on segment 4:10 comes the part of the tourettes Syndrome. Now I don't mean to laugh at people with this condition but I would like to play a character that has uncontrollable swearing like the famously known mudcrab swearing mod but for people. I would like for my character to swear when the enemy hits him or shoots an arrow at him.

Is their a mod for this?

Why lie about this? A quick google search would tell you that its available on the Steam workshop. I don't understand people who present complete baloney as facts.

It is in extremely poor taste, and if you understood anything about people who suffer with this disease, you wouldn't even bother with with it.

Sorry, but there is nothing funny, humorous, or downloadable for that mod. Do yourself a favor and actually spend some time learning about what this disease does to people's lives instead of amusing yourself at their expense.

My brother has tourettes and I would approve that mod. F%*& You $&^%# with a big %&^##@ ^$&^%-face!

Yeah, I don't think all people with disabilities are hyper-sensitive. I mean, a dude swearing uncontrollably can be funny although I can understand living with the condition can be a real hell if people around you don't understand it. There's a balance to be found between treating advlts with kid-gloves and offensive ridicule. Since that mod does not seem to encourage discrimination and bullying of people with tourettes, I personally don't find it offensive.

If you don't have it, you don't even have the slightest clue as to what it really feels like to deal with every...single...day... of...your...life...24/7. Varying degrees of this disease can determine whether or not you can function normally in society or not, or even at all. Uncontrollable swearing is not, by any stretch of the imagination the only symptom of it. No, it extends far far beyond that.

As someone who was diagnosed with it as a teenager, I find the humorous aspect of this despicable on every level. Fortunately for me, I was able to outgrow this by my mid twenties, but for many people I know and have known in my youth, have not outgrown it...and I still have not forgotten the hell I went through as a youth, trying my hardest to control the uncontrollable urges this disease brings upon it's victims. The harder you try to control it, the stronger the urges get, until it explodes. Try acting like you've got this disease for one day. I'll bet every penny I have, that you won't make it ten minutes before you give up.

if this mod really exists, use it...or not, but don't try kidding yourselves, this isn't about role-playing purposes on someone who has it. It is only so you can amuse yourselves at others' expense...other people who have a real condition, and who's only wish is to be able to live a normal life without these urges, but cannot do it because they are too powerful to control. Medicine can help, but it is by no means a cure.

I totally agree with barretsfloyd on this and I really hope this mod doesn't exist.

Seconded. If such a mod did exist then I would have to wonder at the sick mentality behind making fun of something so serious and so debilitating to others. Really NOT cool.

Look I'm not for making fun of the disabled either, but the man known as Tourettes guy had his son film him and put the videos online. The videos have some funny moments not because he has tourettes but because he is actually funny and appeared to like the attention.

I think he got tried of it after a while. For certain I'd say his main problem was alcohol. That is what made him really out of control.

Once in the public eye to this degree - it is next to impossible to get out. Regardless I don't see this at all in the same league as say bumfights or some other hyper exploitive media.

Look, I respect you and what you've done for this community in your years here, but even you apparently have no clue what it's like to live with this. I have a very unique perspective on this that can only be matched and exceeded by those that suffer from this as well. The mod is in poor taste and it's author ought to be ashamed of themself for even making it, let alone releasing it for others to amuse themselves at the expense of other peoples misery.

Sorry but we are not going to discuss a mod that makes fun of peoples medical conditions. Because quite frankly it's rude. It could be any one of you.
