So i am stuck on the introductory thieves guild quest where you have to reverse pickpocket a ring into some guys pocket.
problem is , is it says "i have been caught already". I don't even remember doing this and if i did most likely it was in the very very beginning. So what the heck am i to do? I don't want to make a new char just because i can't do the theives guild, but yet i want to be able to do it.

You can fail the pickpocket, the quest will continue on. That's what I did (since my Sneak skill was low at the time)

Just wait for a while, then come back and try to do the pickpocket.

Yea, i've waited a good long time. did other quests and what not. but if the other guys says to just wait and the quest will continue on, then my only choice is to do that.
