Is there any possible way to complete the Forsworn conspirac

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:17 am

Did owning a house and becoming a thane enable you to complete the quest, I know what I just said contradict my question but I was just wondering and want people opinions because a while back one of my character was able to actually completed the quest and I was thane/owned a house in Markath. Any other chars doesn't have any luck so far getting past the known bugs for the quest so far...

I've never been thane or owned Vlindrell Hall, and I've never had any issues completing the questline.

take a look at this on UESP: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Forsworn_Conspiracy

noteably:

- If you become a Thane of the Reach before starting or completing this quest, you will not be arrested when you return to the Shrine of Talos, making you unable to complete the quest. Even if you murder a guard and submit to arrest, you still will not be able to complete the quest.

weather that was fixed in 1,4 im not sure but read the bug reports etc etc it should be completable without many problems. save alot and youll be fine, personally i am abut to try this quest in a few hours.

Can't get past the bugs. I didn't open the initial letter in this game. There is no achievement for the quest on the 360. I'm not going to bother with it. I'm avoiding all the questlines that were bugged in my last play. They may have fixed it in 1.4 which downloaded last night, but from what I've read it probably won't affect existing games. You'd have to start a new game. One thing I did notice though is smithing is nerfed a bit. Well I did all the smithing I need anyway. I should be done with the MQ this weekend.

I'm thane of Markarth and completed all the 5/5 quests for people of Markarth and cannot buy Vlindrell Hall.

wow i think i have been living under a rock since 11/11/11. I have heard or read about sooo many other bugs and problems but never anything about this quest. My character is level 70, 250hours gameplay, and 11mb save, will I have any problems if i try to run this quest? I installed patch 1.4 last night and have had AMAZING results, gave pantea her flute, gave the chick finn's lute, NO and I mean NO lag whatsoever. The occasional stutter when the other half of Solitude is "popping-in" as Im running down the main road lol. I have hardly any time in Markarth though other than getting the unusual gems there, and talking to Calcemo about stuff.
Spoiler
i did prevent the forsworn guy from murdering that chick the 1st time i visited the hold though, and got the letter saying to meet the guy, but went no further than that with it.
What are the problems that were happening with this quest and do you think I will experience them or would I be safe to try it? I do want to do this quest, I had forgotten all about it actually until I saw this thread and now im nervous. Should I stay away from it for safety's sake? Oh for the love of the nine! This is frustrating! It's always something when you make a game this immense.

Couldn't tell you - I've never had any issues with it. *shrug* I'm on pc, maybe that makes a difference. I do NOT use console to tweak, I just haven't had issues with the game. Not to mention not having issues with this questline.

oh ok thanks anyways, i will google it and check around when i have time, right now im too buys playing an trolling :) im jealous of you PC players sooo bad. not so much now that the lag is gone and i can play as i will, but i miss the ultra settings, mods, creation kit, in game console commands n [censored], and the steam workshop and just steam in general. i miss steam, i remember when it 1st came out for Counter-Strike 1.5 and everybody hated it lol. For the love of Talos those were the good ol' days!

Um. Well, I would be PERFECTLY happy if Steam had never poked its "ahem" into my TES games, thankyouverymuch.

Hmm. I have the feeling we MUST be sibs. We don't agree on every little thing, but we do seem to mesh on some of the big stuff.
