Is there any way to get rid of warn status?

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 9:39 pm

A while ago my cousin logged on to my account when I was away from the computer and posted some stupid spam, anyways, I was wondering how you got rid of warn status? I only got warned once, but seeing that little red bar beside all of my posts is annoying me.

I think you can appeal your warn status after a while. Or you could troll a bit and make the red bar even lol.

There's a section regarding it in the rules, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/724862-forum-rules-and-general-information/page__view__findpost__p__10470844

Also topics about warnings, how to get rid of them, why you have them, etc. are not permitted on the forums. Things that deal with warnings and user accounts should be dealt with by contacting a Moderator or Administrator.

9. Posting about moderator or administrator action or inaction is also against the rules of this forum.

Please feel free however to contact the moderator involved, another moderator you feel comfortable with, our community manager Gstaff or another admin if you disagree with a moderator action. Our moderators do not mind taking a second look or discussing an action with the other moderators and admin to assure they have acted fairly. So if you think you've been treated wrongly or that unfairly, be sure to send a PM. Sometimes moderators make mistakes.

I'm sure that if you contact a Moderator or Administrator they can help you with it and explain the process of how to get it removed. The simplest thing to do is just not get in trouble and not cause any commotion on the forum. Even if you don't think you'll get warned for something it's best to refrain from doing it to keep up your public image.

1. Talking about your warn status is against the rules

2. Even if it wasn't you who posted the spam your username is still your responsibility-hence even if it was your cousin you still get the warning

3. If you prove yourself helpful on the forums and don't do anything to hurt your cause you may then ask for the warning to be reduced/taken off (edit: within the time frame given per forum rules).

The wait is six months of good behavior to have a warn status reduction. Just keep other people off your account, go about your business here, and request it be removed when the time comes.

Well, one thing is for sure. Making threads about it won't help. :P
