Is there anyway to save the character I have, and then Impor

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:57 am

As the title says...

Is there any way I can save the character I have now, and then re-load it when I re-install the game? Or to to save the stats so I can exactly re-make the same face? Or... well, any way I can get the face of the character I have into a re-installed game?

I am going to replace a hard drive and I would really like to get the same look when I set Skyrim up again.

Thank you for any help offered. It is appreciated.

Open Windows Explorer and type %APPDATA% into the location bar. Press Enter.

You should see a folder in the main window named My Games. Actually, it may be in another folder called My Documents, but I can't remember. At any rate, go in there and you should see another folder named Skyrim. That folder contains all of your save games as well as your config file.

Copy this entire folder and put it on a thumb drive or something. Now when you reinstall the game, you can go to %APPDATA%, create a My Games folder if it doesn't yet exist, and paste your Skyrim folder in there to get all of your settings and save games back.

I think he meant a function like Export Character, so you can start an new game with a character you've already made as opposed to using a save. I'd like to know if that's possible too.

You could try this - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15307.

You could just make your character into a custom race.
I did this in Oblivion and I imagine that you can do it in Skyrim as well?
You would need to use the Construction Kit though...
