One side of me is a hard core RP player -- tries to forgive the game code and not play the number game ( ie damage on weapons, armor values, etc)
the other side, all cares how to max out the build (ie what level am I? this armor / weapon does more damage there I will use even if does not make good logic for the type of char I am playing)
Well, I'm doing pretty good. Planning on stopping at 69 if I ever get there. No inner conflicts. I use Dawnbreaker despite it not being my best weapon, but my most aesthetically pleasing one. I will continue to use my imperial bow and only use my favorite spells. So, I'm good and dandy.
Well sometimes I just want to play the game relaxed but at the same time i'm always thinking about how much of a pain leveling Enchanting and Alchemy to a high level will be.
the first playthrough i did was mostly worried about getting the "best" gear available. Now I have a specific roleplay in mind for each character I start usually including what type of armor/weapons they will use and I do not veer too far from that.
For example my first character wore dragon armor and used a daedric battleaxe. My latest character is a Knight style that will wear steel plate armor and use skyforge steel weapons.
I did the damage maxing thing with my first character, but once I found out how the game worked, I was able to plan out RP'ing characters based on perks, crafting, and questline. I still max out all crafts on each character because I can't control myself.
My next goal is to play as a fist build, gloves from a tramp in rataway that add to punching + heavy armour perk + cat hands and other things so you can just own with your fists. (Saw it on yt)

yeah, that is my problem too... err oh well, live and learn or was that learn to live?
I found armor I was very happy with appearance-wise, made a set of Fortify Smithing gear (no exploits, +85% for total of 185 smithing), and got my armor to the armor cap.
Then I improved my weapons of choice using the same smithing gear, and I was happy. Still, I am peeved that the Nightingale Blade is bugged and I can't improve it.
