Is there a beta? : Othor Games

I personally don't play that many games, atleast multiplayer side. I pretty much have a few good multiplayer shooters that I play until I discover the next big thing. But I am still wondering if Brink is the next big thing?

Currently it's TF2 all the way since there isn't anything better. Call of duty has gone down the crapper and while I'm glad Bad Company 2 came to PC it still had some problems for me so we'll see how BF3 will be. But I definetly have my eye on Brink.

Anyway, is there a beta announced so I could try the game out?

Besides, beta's aren't usually released just so you can "try the game out." - that's what demos are for.

Well that depends. I mean in recent years there are tons of beta's that come out like a month before release and the game has already gone golden. Not only that but there are no multiplayer demos (only one I can think about is half minutes of multiplayer for BF1943 on the consoles, because it was MP only game). 95% of the people who want to get into the betas do it to just check the game out.

Please use the search funtion before creating threads what have alreayd been discussed multiple times that way all relevant information stays in one spot

It is worth noting that Nick Breckon posted this in that thread -

Paul Wedgwood answered this recently.

“We’re still talking about what the right thing to do is there. In terms of project status, we’re pre-beta, so we’re doing a lot of balancing, working out what works, what doesn’t, cutting things, that kind of thing.

“Probably when we get to around beta, we’ll make that decision, then Bethesda will make any announcements.”
