Is there a class name for this play style?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:02 pm

I will be playing with:
  • Dagger is the weapon of choice when sneaking behind a enemy is suitable.
  • Bound Bow is the weapon of choice when sneaking behind a enemy is not suitable.
  • Effective use of poison.
  • When holding Dagger in the hand, I will be holding Illusion spells in the other.
  • Always prefer to sneak around.
  • Only wear clothes.
Is there any class name for this play style?

Oh and by the way, do you think Alteration to give me some armor is needed when I have this perk & spell?
  • 1/5 in Stealth (20% only).
  • Invisibility spell.

Couple of perks in alteration probably couldn't hurt. Honestly it sounds like some altered version of assassin and arcane archer. o.O

Nightblade perhaps? They're kind of like mages mixed with assassins.

Nightblade maybe.

Darn you! I posted my post to have it slide down and see that you beat me to it :touched:

Agent or Nightblade if we're going by old classes.

Now as I don't want to put any points into health at all.
I have to put points into magicka for effective use of Illusion spells and getting Bound Bow up and if I take on Alteration, for that as well.
And stamina? How much should I want because I have no idea as I never really tried the whole zoom \ slow motion with Bound Bow.

Uhm... hard for me to say, but I'd guess around 150 since you're looking to maximize first strike damage and thus don't need stamina for a prolonged combat.

It looks like it could be a cross between the Witchhunter class from Morrowind and the one from Oblivion.

It does sound quite like a nightblade, but with the emphasis on magic and poisons I will suggest my own title of Arcane Assassin.

You don't need more stamina than 100-150. My heavy armor wearing, pure melee character has only 150 points into stamina and everything into health and does just fine on stamina. I'd say a bow user in cloth doesn't even need any points into stamina. You'll definitely want points into magicka and health, though.

I don't know, I heard of one person playing on novice but as a trade off, was not allowed to put any points in health or carry any health enchantments. The goal was to make the endgame combat more realistic, as everyone dies in a few hits, including the PC
