There's a hint that the Daedra are with the Thalmor , Run !

That's the whole mystery.

There's no telling who the source is though during the occupation of the Imperial city, is it a Soldier? a Citizen? Author trying to slander the thalmor?

Maybe the Winged Twlight(if it was one) was his lover. I mean they are pretty attractive.

Not really. If I was a Daedraphile that would imply that I was attracted to Daedra as a rule.

I do not have a thing for Scamps.

The author states that he wants to get the most accurate version of what happened during the Great War. Perhaps something happened to General Naarfin on the thirty-fourth day and he ended up disappearing.

It's possible that the author was claiming it was accurate. Many authors do this kind of stuff. Some even released hate articles towards jazz music back in the 40's or 50's that were basically, "Devil's music. No one should like it!" and some tried using bad surveys... Okay, bad example. Daily Mail. There! Found some sort of publication that does something we could call tons of crap that claims to be fully factual.

I usually find The Times to be just as bad.

"Bacon causes cancer! Breathing causes cancer! Salt causes cancer!"

and so on, and so on...

90% of our news is propaganda. Oh no! Also, freaking awesome avatar. I love me some black metal.

Now to be serious, I had a feeling most news publicaions were like many of the TES propaganda books. I mean, even avoiding the obvious stuff that isn't funny to make fun of anymore like Fox News doesn't keep away the insanity of how anything can be published. If entire books on thinking rock music or DnD is Satanic can exist, then an author masking his opinions as facts in a TES book is going to happen.(I do love black metal, though)

Just to clarify, since the book claims Naarifin was kept alive for 33 days, I assume he was hanging in a cage, or something, rather then by the neck or any other vital part? So does this suggest he was saved by the daedra?

Also I don't know about Creeper but the standard dremora are pretty hot, just saying.

That makes some sense.
Now in Oblivion , people were talking about Daedra worshiping in the Summerset Isles.
