All I hear about is new weapons and in the trailer you never see anyone in some new robe or anything like that. No new spells.

Have you payed attention? There plenty.. That Shout...The soul stealer thing... I can imagine a newer Vampiric Drain of sorts.. plus Vampires effing rule at Illusion so perhaps there is a helpful thing with that.. hmm... Youll have to keep reading Gameinformer #1-3# to get more but Magic is going to be useful for Vampires.. Hell even the Vanilla Spells could help. (Calm and Frenzy come to mind) I wouldnt worry too much and just go with the flow on this one

P.S Shouts are a type of Magic as Farengar has stated

Maybe there is a load of stuff that they aren't showing yet. When they first showed us the game, it was all about the buff guy in the horned helmet and dragons; now it's all about vampires. A new set of robes, some new non combat spells or an increase in harvestable ingredients are hardly big advertising sound-bites, however much they might mean to us on this forum.

I also think Farengar is the type to get all pedantic with semantics.

Nah, doesn't seem like there's any new mage-like content.

The trailer still stars the buff guy, though. And he still hasn't bought better armor.

He probably has the required perk tree fully spec'd and upgraded his armor to legendary, who needs Daedric when you can reach armor cap with just about anything
