Reading some of these threads there was something about 'using up all of your saves'. Now I am getting worried? Is there a 'maximum' to saves. So what happens then, once you reach a maximum you cannot save any longer except maybe auto/quicksave?

I have been saving a lot and also started numerous chars which I then gave up on, so I have a huge amount of saves. I have gone into saves and deleted a whole lot of saves because the list was so long but regardless of deleting any, it just keeps counting new save numbers and does not go back to the beginning saves that you deleted, like some games do.

I play on the Xbox 360 and as far as I know there is no max saves, just as long as you have the space for the saves.

What you saw members talking about was save game bloating-Saving over a game continuously.

There is no max count for how many saves you have in Skyrim, but games like New Vegas did (1000 save cap, I believe).

there may be a limit to the number of individual saves but there's no limit to the number of saves if you overwrite the old one's...i have over 1000 saves between 2 characters using 2 save slots
