Is there a second pair of Shrouded Gauntlets available? (360

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:06 pm

As I was preparing to attack a bandit camp, I realized that my Shrouded Gauntlets were no longer in my inventory. I have no idea what happened to them, they're simply gone. I checked every chest in all of my houses in case I accidentally stored them, but to no avail. I haven't even completed the first DB quests yet (been waiting until I have all the gear/stealth levels needed), and now I don't have the full set of armor. The gauntlets were the best piece, too. I'm afraid I'll no longer be able to successfully assassinate higher level targets now.

Does the DB allow you to get a second set of armor that has similar enchantments sometime down the line? Or am I SOL.

If only I had this for PC, I could console them back.

On an unrelated note: as I was checking my houses for the gauntlets, I realized the Ebony Blade was missing from the shelf I displayed it on.

There's a cloth version on the shelf near where Astrid usually stands.

Later on, if you complete Gabriella's mission perfectly, you'll be given the opportunity to find an improved version of the shrouded set.

After one of the murders you also get the location of a a place where you can find ancient shrouded armor. This armor has even more powerful enchantments than the standard version.

Also, when in the Dawnstar Sanctuary when you are hunting down Cicero, on a cupboard near a mid-sized circular room (under the bridge) there is an unenchanted set of Worn Shrouded Armor (correction: the only part of the set that is enchanted are the Worn Shrouded Gloves. Everything else is a blank canvas, most likely placed for all of the Enchanters out there...).

In Hag's End you can get the Ancient Shrouded Armor, but only if you perform the preceding Contract for Gabriella and do it perfectly so that you earn the Contract Bonus.

And lastly, If you thoroughly search the Pine Forest (Falkreath) Sanctuary both before and after the part where Commander Maro's men are slaughtering the Dark Brotherhood, you can find pretty much another complete set of the armor, plus another set of the Shrouded Robes, Shrouded Shoes, Shrouded Handwraps, etc.

I've got pretty much two full sets of everything except for the Worn and Ancient Shrouded Armors. I think those two are unique sets of armor in the game.

Hope this helps OP.

You can find all the sets in the above posters locations but dont expect to be able to improve them cause the "blank" Worn set can't be improved with smithing. I learned that the hard way after enchanting each peice to my liking and ending up reloading after the fail at the workbench. The Ancient and regular sets though can be improved.

Yeah... I forgot to mention that about the 'Worn' set. Sorry.

Found the wrappings, thanks! They're quite fugly, though. Dark black Nightingale armor, vibrant red hands! Not very stealthy, eh?

Also, after you beat the DB questline, after you fully deck-out the Dawnstar Sanctuary, there is an almost full set of Shrouded Armor on the mannequin in the Master Bedroom. You can get another pair of Shrouded Gloves off of said mannequin.
