Is there someone who actually isn't playing anything right n

Post » Sat Oct 08, 2011 7:12 pm

I've seen a lot of people who writes about the games that they are playing before release. But I wonder if there is someone who actually decided to not play anything until Skyrim is released? I haven't even touched a game for about three months and I have to say that it's kinda boring. But I really want my mind to be blown when I sit down and play a game again. And not just any game!

Anyone else feeling the emptiness?

Lol, that is silly. I personally play various rather small indie games(I've run out of AAA ones).

I'm not even touching my Xbox until the 18th. Arkham City should last me until Skyrim.

I am playing Dark Souls right now. It is an amazing open-world RPG, but I think that I will take a break from it a week or two before Skyrim releases. That way I can get the "fresh" feeling you are describing.

Waiting for Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3. After that, I will have an entire 3-day-weekend to play Skyrim with my best friend. That SHOULD temporarily exhaust my entertainment with it, and I can revert back the the previous two games. If it doesn't, I'm screwed. XD

I'm playing Team Fortress 2. I don't care what I play, as long as it passes the time until Skyrim.

I'm playing RAGE, and then a speed run of Morrowind, and then maybe one of Oblivion.

I recently finished Oblivion... well recently as in finished a couple months ago.

I was playing Madden NFL '12, but that game has too many issues for me to take it seriously.

I'm kind of half ass playing Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3.

Messing around in Just Cause 2 with extended grapple to pass the time, does not matter however, I still get that empty feeling waiting for the release, bring it on!

I'm in the same boat. I've been trying to play Oblivion, but without much success. Mostly just bidding my time, looking at newegg and frys planning my PC build. Watching alot netflix, working my butt off with overtime to boost my PC upgrade budget, and lots of sleepless nights thinking about how amazing Skyrim will probably be.

Starting next week, I'll be doing that AI class from stanford, and I plan on using that info to make mods for Thief and Combat behavior. It sounds like its much improved, but no matter how good it is, it can always be better.

I'm just replaying Shivering Isles (maybe the rest of Oblivion after that.) probably kick around on MW2 till I get my N64 back and then I shall immerse myself in the wonderful world that is Super Mario 64 ;)

I haven't a doubt in my mind that Skyrim will blow my mind regardless of what I experience between now and then.

Daggerfall and Rage, but Rage I am waiting for a fix. I have the 8K textures working now, but the pop in still happens. I will play around with the config settings later or just wait for a official release.

If you actually have the time to complete all that in a month..... You better have a darn good excuse for it.

Have you no work or job?
No legacies to your name? (Children)

HOW would you find the time?!

After playing through Morrowind and both expansions I found myself hungering for more elder scrolls. As I had already completed everything in Oblivion, I decided to play Arena, and that's what I'm currently doing. After Arena I intend to play Daggerfall, and perhaps even Battlespire and Redguard at some point too, if there's time before Skyrim.
