Is there still a way to dupe armor via mannequin?

Doesnt seem to work anymore. Everything on google gives me an old method

It seems to be patched, but not fully. I can get gold diamond necklaces to dupe, but that's it.

I've tried several times in Proudspire manor on a save made post 1.6 patch, and I can't get it to work.
