I need to stop beng vilified with the powder gangers so I can retake the prision. How do I do that? Also I tried a disguise but it didnt work.

If you talk to the guy at the door he should let you in for a hundred caps or something with a disquise. It worked for me. BUt that was only after I had only killed the powder gangers in good springs and a 2-3 more on the way between Primm and NCRCF.

Also, I'm almost certain you can always talk to eddie, so you could use a stealth boy to sneak in and talk to him. Maybe.

If you managed to get yourself vilified, you out of luck. Only chance probably is to use stealthboys to get to Eddie.

To not get vilified, do not kill every powderganger you encounter. Even if they are hostile to you. Just run away if you happen to get in to the fight with them. If you need to kill them, do it while hidden. If you manage to kill somebody while sneaking, your relation do not suffer. Snipe them from distance while in sneak mode. One at the time.

Btw: whole relation thing is bugged so even if you do everything right, you still can get screwed for no apparent reason (that is valid for any faction). Save often.

Powder Gangers are not good guys, you get good karma for killing them so why if you are playing a good character are you bothered that they don't like you?

Short of either eliminating them entirely or using console commands, probably not. They're hostile to the player for the most part, so they're just asking to get popped.

This is what I do:

--> Kill them in Goodsprings and get shunned.

--> Run my little [censored] off to NCRCF, dodging all the bad guys.

--> Talk to dude in enterance to be let in.

--> Talk to Eddie.

--> Then leave them alone.

I do believe that is a bug issue, I know I read about it. I had the same thing happen, the Powder Ganger's were my first encounter with any faction and they shot me on sight....so I became there grim f*&%$#g reaper :gun:

They do shot you on sight because they are powder gangers. They pray on caravans and travellers, including you. However you will be offered truce once you will enter their camp ...unless your reputation with them is very bad in which case they will shoot you anyway.

make sure you get the booted quest that that will change your reputation to mercifull thug (dunno if they will stop attacking you tho)

When you talk to the dude in the entrance and give him the 100 caps he still runs after me once I go in. (even when wearing powder gang armor)

I tried using a sneak boy to sneak into Eddie's place but they all turn hostile whenever I stand up.

What was your reputation with them at that time? This happened to me when I was vilified. When I was just shunned second time they did not turn hostile and I could talk to Eddie.

I pretty much couldnt get in but i killed someone close to that area that had a key so i got in and killed every single thing in there.

Is there a quest regarding taking over the prison?

Ok, there is a solution, but I don't think you're gonna like it. You can use the console commands (assuming that you're playing on the PC) and enter the proper codes to adjust your reputation to how you see fit. However (This is very important!!!) Doing this will forfeit your achievements. 1. Bribe him with powder ganger disguise on you.
2. Remove disguise.
3. Walk in.
4. He won't recognize you as a faker (guards have that ability) and won't engage in a combat.

you can beam yourself inside the prison by using an outhouse inside (from outside) that you can see from the south part of the prison. Try it

its a broken quest btw even if you complete it and kill eddie at the last quest thingy "i fought the law" the quest will stay unresolved.. meyers will bug out and the radio message will say you failed :\

I haven't tried myself, but you could always help them take over Goodsprings... Since there really isn't anything left to do there after the battle, it couldn't hurt.

I swore that this time around I wouldn't kill any of them, except in the Goodsprings thing, but I just can't help myself from killing every single one of them. I tend to have the same problem with the Legion as well.

This quest is pretty bad designed, I mean if you want to clean out the facility you have to play nice with the gangers first?
Why can't I get the quest in Primm?

Gangers quest is bugged...badly. First time through if you shot at me you died so obviously I wasnt friendly with the gangers. I rerolled and did a not so nice guy however. He helped the gangers take the town and "received rep with the gangers" which promptly disappeared. I mean disappeared too. The gangers weren't even on my rep list despite being hated with goodsprings..not neutral not hated not liked...nothing. I did several quests with the gangers which all granted rep and then reset my rep to that same nonexistent state...lost my access to powder and dynamite for not being a "good boy" despite not attacking any ganger..even those who shot at me...The longer I play this the more Im thinking the boys at Bethesda shoulda put ina few more hours. The game is good the story line is good but seriously...the bugs and there are a LOT are starting to piss me off.

I've been able to pickpocket the key from the dude at the front gate of the prison (and enter Hidden) then go talk to the guy who would then go to Primm (forgot name) without having to fight the gang, but I did not shot any of them or fight them at Goodsprings, so default rep with them I guess, and no disguise.

I think next time I'm gonna try to get in there and go try to talk to Eddie then, with the intent to have the NCR retake it. I've always blasted them before since some of them outside the prison are hostile to you anyway. It's one faction I really don't like and I'd love to have then sing their swan song :violin:
