Very very new to the CK, however I gather that the internal editor isn't favoured and that 3rd party programs are being used to create, convert etc before being imported back into the CK.

I've searched this site and Googled but have yet to find what I'm looking for. Basically, what to use, what the numbers mean and how they effect things etc. etc. If such a thread exits, apologies. Of course I may be missing something basic about the internal editor and it's fine?

Any and all help would be welcome.
