Thief dungeon crawling

Hey guys:)

Been playing a Dark Elf "thief" for some time now and wanted to share some
things you can enjoy when you are exploring a dungeon. Feel free to share other playstyles;)

1. After you get some lvl on your back i'm sure you have noticed the many hundred arrows
you have in your "backpack". Try to enter a dungeon only using a bow (without any arrows)
You can not loot the corpses for arrows or pick up any arrows you find elsewhere.
The only thing you can do is to pickpocket the archers for arrows.

2. Try only sneaking to get to your quest. If you get caught you have to do it all over again.
No quickload. This way you have to implement a little strategy to get things done.

3. Only use the elements in the dungeon to kill the enemies and also to the boss if possible.
A little tip here is that you can always reset some of the traps if you run out of ideas.

4. Try to practise using the elements to lure the enemy to a place of your desire.
And to make it harder: Let only one person take the bait.

5. Enjoy some sharpshooting with your bow. Try to kill every enemy with a skillshot.
For an example: if an enemy is hiding between two wodden boards and there is a gap between them.
Try shooting through the gap to kill the enemy. A fast and funny way to sharpen them arching skillz;)

Happy good hunting!:)

I love the way you think.

I plan on making a thief sometime. I'll try this out, and even make up things myself.

Some great challenges there. I love playing stealth type characters myself, I'll probably just try some of these sometime :P

Number 5 will probably drive me mad, though - I can't even count how many times I've tried something like that and hit the invisible mass between objects... Probably just my own incompetence, though. Practice makes perfect.

The only thing like this that I've tried is the common "no missiles" challenge, every kill must be made in melee, undetected. Probably should try making it a little more challenging, I guess.

I learned that shooting chickens from different ranges/angles can help a ton. It not only raises your archery skill in the game, but is also raises YOUR shooting skill. :gun:
I usually find a bunch of chickens, quicksave, then kill them over and over.

Oh and, to add to my last post:
Shooting a chicken (or anything) from far away, and running up to the corpse to see if you nailed it in the head = Worth it :celebration:

ty:)

That reminds me of the most strangely invisible mass i have experienced as archer:
Some days ago i was sharp shooting after hawks at Solitude and one of the arrows got stuck in a
hawk..... but it did not die!. The hawk just kept flying around with an arrow stuck in it :banghead:
