Thief Trophy Help

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:45 pm

I need help on the Thief Trophy.

Does this trophy have to be done in the same game.
Or cna it be done over time.

And also, are there any low perception npcs I can pickpocket repeadedly, like with Sarah in Fallout New Vegas.

I was thinking pickpocket low perception people at night.
Guards or something.
Any good places for this?

Any NPCs I can exploit? People who always have stuff to steal and low perception?

And, no, I will never be doing anything to do with the TG. So nothing to do with them.

Anything would be helpful.

As I understand Pickpocketing the things that determine your success are:
1) Pickpocket ability
2) Pickpocket perks
3) Item's weight
4) Item's value

I would assume the target's level has some effect also, but I'm not sure.

You're not doing the TG stuff so this won't matter, but I mention it to put some perspective on it. During the Fishing Jobs it seemed that the pickpocketing was more difficult than under just normal situations.

Skyrim doesn't follow the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system, so perception isn't a factor...? Just roll around town picking everybody's pockets. It's gonna take forever if you haven't leveled pickpocket, so do that. Theirs no cheat or exploit for this trophy, just get it done. It took me like 10 minutes once I stopped looking for an exploit.

Also, you've gotta do it on one character.

The Fishing Jobs are kind of completely fudged. My very first character's first Fishing Job was to take a Gold Diamond Necklace from Grelka. ._.

Morality wasn't the issue as much as the fact that even with 100% Pickpocekt and every perk but Poisoned, that's still only like a 40~50% chance of taking it successfully. @@

You should get Poisoned. Use that to plant a paralyze poison on her and get out of the menu. She falls down and you have a 100% chance of stealing whatever you want, regardless of what the menu says.

I was able to get everyone's favorite jester's clothes and still keep him alive using this method.

SERIOUSLY? I never thought too terribly outside the box with regards to using poisons that do things beside damage people. I'll have to try that from now on, thanks! :D

No problem. I only use Paralyze and Frenzy poisons these days. Mostly because it's hilarious to watch Nazeem fall flat on his face in the middle of talking to Ysolda in Whiterun's market or to make a mark attack me so I can fulfill a contract under the guise of self defense.

Thank you.

I will have to lurk about sleeping people then, poison them when it gets boring, which it will, fast.
