1. Texture loading is pretty bad. The game loads up the texture around you pretty quickly but if you look off at the distance or go to a new area the texture loading is horrible. I'm talking bout everything its not just the characters. The environment and enemies look really blurry from some distance. They don't even need to be too far for the texture to load so slow and crazy like that.
2. I normally host the co-op games me and my friends play since I have awesome connection but if one of them tried to host, many of us would suffer from disgusting lag and I'm not exaggerating when I say disgusting. Perhaps we can get dedicated 360 servers to fix this issue? If possible that is.
3. The weapons are lacking a satisfying pop. Don't get me wrong though, the sound of all the guns are satisfyingly realistic and I enjoy how the cross fire sounds like It makes me feel like I'm in an actual war. Here is where I'll try my best to explain what I mean by "pop" there is virtually no recoil for any gun. When I used what I believed was called the Remington shotgun there was no recoil. I didn't feel like I was using a shot gun I felt like I was using an pistol that did amazing damage up close...sometimes. There were numerous situations where I was right in someone's or a bots face and right when I pill the trigger I only do about half damage or leave them with a third of their health.
Then I have another issue for the shotgun type weapons in this game. The actual spread of the bullets. We all know the shotgun shoots out pellets that shreds people apart from up close. I noticed that I can actually do sizable damage with a shot gun from a distance. Then at times I noticed that my shot would miss even if I'm about a few inches away from my target because either they moved back (which is weird because I still have the aiming reticule square on them but they're health does not drop mind you this is without the buff from the medic)or because they side stepped away from the dot in the middle of the aiming reticule and managed to stay in the large circle ( which is also weird because from that range as long as I have the reticule somewhere on their body they should be downed, since I am using a shot gun)
So in short instead of feeling like a shotgun that shoots lethal buck shots from close range and worthless buck shots the further from my target I am, I feel like I'm using a shotgun that shoots out slugs that has unreliable accuracy from real close and actually has decent accuracy and power from a certain distance.
Now I need to talk bout the other weapons. I feel as thought that none of the SMG's, burst fire or battle rifles are unique. I feel as though that the reason as to why there is a various amount of weapon's is for cosmetic reasons only. They all feel as though they do the same damage, fire at the same rate and have equal accuracy at any distance. Then there's the mini guns, Most of the mini guns feel the same and shoot the same. Again I'll say that I feel as thought that the variety in guns we have is simply cosmetic.
Also there is the lobster grenade launcher and the grenade launcher attachment for the burst fire rifle. I found the attachment to be ridiculously more useful and practical then the lobster launcher. The grenades explode on contact and can be thrown from a further distance then the lobster. While the only thing the lobster has has on the attachment is that it can shoot multiple grenades in succession. But here are the downfalls for the lobster launcher.
The lobster launcher ammunition does not explode on contact and although I understand your shooting standard grenades its biggest defect is that the grenade knocks back a single target then bounces back a few feet away from the target. Although I do like the knock back I find this particular feature to well... just svck. There was only one instance where I found the lobster useful and that was when I had 4 enemies all huddled up in a room and were dumbfounded as to what knocked they're ally back and stood close to the blast, Mind you they were pretty much left unharmed just a minor dent in they're HP but the explosion knocked them down enough that I went in myself and finished them off with the soldiers upgraded grenade that boosts its radius and damage. Me and my friends find the lobster practically useless for the individual and especially so for the team. We found that it was easier to knock down a group with the grenade launching attachment then have my team mates swoop in for the finishing blow while everyone is stunned.
4. I feel that even though there is enough guns to feel that there's options, Whenever I decide to look at the guns I feel that the number is very limited. There is a good amount of SMG's but I find that you can add way more shot guns, miniguns and explosive type weapons. If I remember correctly there's only about 2 shotguns and 2 mini guns. I also feel that the pistols and magnums are lacking.
Perhaps you can release dlc that are weapon packs that bring more variety to the table like punk action shot gun for medium and heavy types that shoots faster but weaker then the remington shotgun or a sawed off shot gun that accessible to the light body types that is extremely powerful from up close but suffers from a horrible damage reduction the further away you are and you have to reload after every shot
5. I feel and I'm sure some people can agree with me here especially that there is not enough maps in all honestly there is only about 10 maps. I feel kind of repetitive playing these maps so many times over. If you were going to give out only ten maps at least make it so that at least the map moves certain areas, objectives and spawn points around so that every game feels fresh in a way. Even if there is only 10 maps.
Now if you don't plan on making that move, more maps please.
6. I find it truly odd that at this day and age of online gaming there is no lobby option in the game, I don't like the fire squad option too much for me because it is not one hundred percent reliable. If possible and I do believe many gamers have mentioned it themselves. We would like to see a pregame lobby or at least an in game lobby so that you can easily go to missions with your friends instead of having to rely on inviting them all while the game loads and hope they end up on the same team. Perhaps you can even add that they can remain in your squad/party even while your in the main menu. This is honestly a game that was meant for a group of friends to tear it up together but it gets frustrating sometimes just because it becomes a hassle to get everyone together.
7. I noticed that if anyone within my circle of friends who play brink happened to be just one level above the others and rank up they can't join our game or co-op sessions because they are "too high of a rank". So we end up switching the host to whoever has the highest level. Which in itself sometimes becomes a horrible experience because they have either decent or just above average connection and everyone else lags. Then those of us within my circle with outstanding connection (like myself) would spend time grinding in order to be at the same rank and level as the rest of my team in order to host again.
If you can get to these Issues I know this game will be recognized for the monster hit that it is instead of being liked by a few like a cult hit
