Things no one uses

What features do you not use?

What features did you wish weren't in the game?

Which did you like but thought they needed some tweaking?

I personally never use containers, I typically only carry what I need, and sell what I don't. I sometimes use containers before getting a companion but other than that it's just too much of a hassle

Yeah I don't use containers either, and I don't use work benches and campfires.

I agree on VATs. I used it all the time in F03. But since it takes like 20 seconds to come up on my screen and targets my companions, it kinda screws with my game emersion.

I also do not use the mailboxes. Can't figure out why you would use them.

I don't either really, the only one I use is the reloading bench, it's just so darn cost effective

I loved VATS ever since I first discovered it in Fallout 3, and nothing's cooler than watching my guy pop a dude in the head with a 9mm handgun in slow motion...... Yay exploding heads!

There isn't anything in the game that I'd like to see removed, per se...so much as tweaked, and improved. Otherwise, I don't use:

Mojave Express boxes - How often are you actually close to one of these things after being over encumbered in a long dungeon?

Crafting benches/campfires - The raw materials required to make even the simplest things in crafting are far too rare to be able to make them reliably. In the very least, it's not worth investing in the Survival skill with the exception of the perks it allows you access to.

Low-quality, surplus ammo - Who actually bothers buying this garbage?

Companion wheel - It has no real effect on their behavior. Companions are rogue agents, regardless of their orders.

Thrown melee weapons - I'd like to use them, but Obsidian decided to make them both a) very rare, and B) non-retrievable.

Mailboxes.

And most temporary stat boost items. I'm like that with all games. I could use it now, but what if I really need it later? So I keep saving it, and saving it, and finding more, and saving it... And then the game ends with a full inventory.

That's my favorite type of ammo when I have Raul around. Some of it allows you to do more damage per shot and go totally trigger happy without feeling like you are burning your caps.

Also, the .223 ammo is unbelievably superior to standard "non bulk" ammo in numerous situations. Just load it up into your MG and tear apart armored targets without having to worry about gun deterioration or ammo price. Hell, I have no deterioration turned on in most games and I still think .223 is superior to standard ammo.

I do, because Cass and Raul plow through 5.56mm ammo when using an LMG. :gun:
