Things we would like to see added..

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 11:18 pm

Welcome, this topic is about things we, the gamers, would like to add to the game, wether they are new addition, tweaking, or allowing pc properties to be on console. Hopefully, developers see this topic and take into consideration the opinion of the gamers who play their game. Without the opinions and ideas of gamers posting here, we cannot and will not be able to make a difference. We need you to view and comment on your ideas for the game, lets be realistic however. Skyrim is an unbelievable game, but like all things that are great, there are things that could improve them. Please post any thoughts on the game, and any ideas you have, in hopes devs will read them.

It's more productive to have multiple discussions about individual features, with the emphasis on discussion. A thread where people simply list new things tends to lack much substance.

I'll also point out that any feature requests for new games http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1339291-official-beyond-skyrim-tes-vi-6/.

I will get this started, something i would like to see, is either enabling the ability to replace vanilla mod with the dark ages mod, or add more enemies, this will help make battle a much better experience, and more rewarding in the long run. ( more loot , more xp , more challenge , etc...)
I have also asked if consoles can have the command console, it is not enough that pc gamers get an all around better game, but they also have the ability to change their gameplay whenever they want.
I own skyrim for pc and xbox and enjoy xbox much more for the controller itself, but i still have to go to pc to have some genuine fun.

I want whatever anyone else requests NOT to be added.

Also, give us Cliff Racers.
After Jiub drove them out of Vvardenfell, they clearly had to go somewhere, right?

And possibly Fargoth, Gaenor and the Adoring Fan as permanent, mandatory companions.

i meant it as, the dark ages mod, from the pc, where enemies are more numerous and roam in packs, attacking other packs, not just the player.

Wait.. You bought the game twice? Why not just buy it for PC and get a controller that'll work with your pc? You can get what amounts to an xbox controller for the PC. Personally I prefer the PC keyboard controls, but to each their own.

well it wasnt the only reason i bought it on xbox, i like to be in parties and such also, rather than skype, plus i bought my xbox for shooters and such, ive been a microsoft guy for a long time so having both isnt a big deal, plus i have the money to do so, even if i didnt, you can get a cracked version for free. xbox is first for me, but i remember some good times with counter strike on the pc, where i feel in love with the keyboard controls, but i cant just use one on the other, if im using the pc i prefer keyboards, pc is bigger so having the keyboards gives you more options, xbox is not a big so its fine not having all the buttons, plus its super easy to use.

well it wasnt the only reason...

Right. I also have an multiple consoles (360, PS2, Wii ..still no PS3 yet  )and a PC. But my main point was that if you want to use the controller AND play on PC that is doable. For a second there it sounded like you got Skyrim on Xbox solely because of the controller. But now I understand.

its cool man, i didnt know they had xbox style controllers for pc, i knew they had controllers but that was it. its good to have options anyways, i've had all the consoles, and i think xbox is where its at, mostly because i love online games , if i was going for the mmo i would stay pc, because consoles can't handle that. closest ive ever seen to a pc type game on xbox is sacred 2 and being a shooter, it was hard for me to get into but once i did, holy [censored], 200 levels thought took forever, but you really felt like a boss once you get there, 5 difficulties, 1 shotting bosses on the hardest as a 200, its a great feeling knowing you made a good build. i downloaded a modded gamesave for my xbox before the character creation for the purpose that i could test class builds without having to level them up, it svcks that i have so much health, stamina, and magicka, runs a bit of it for me, since i cant see if the build is really good or not. its a hit or miss. plus the character appearance always baffles me, i spend a few hours making someone i can finally approve, just to find something i don't like, it breaks my heart restarting, makes me want to only play pc for the showracemenu option. i once made a sixy nord female, she was a gorgeous assassin , but i got stuck in a location i could teleport out of, and i couldnt find the door i came in, i wish i remembered how i made her. i had to delete her :(

I would love to have the opportunity to marry and have Ralof as a follower.

I would like some player houses that are available to buy that are in the middle of nowhere (Or have the ability to claim an abandoned house)

Stop people who are randomly talking to you from coming into my Breezehome to finish off their statement.

Edited to add another:

I think it would be nice to see repeatable quests. Like if you needed to go out and get ingredients for a person, then you will be able to go back to get a different set of ingredients from a different location for them.

I'd like to see spellmaking, brewing beverages, tailoring clothes, and fletching arrows as crafting functions added, with their own workstations. Just not affiliated with any particular skill (except maybe fletching), simply make them like cooking.

More depth in the world(better stories, characters, more interesting locations).Imagine how good the world could have been if they did not ignore the core elements which make up that world. All in all is was a pretty good game but as alot of people have said its rather shallow I like a little more than a open world as do most.

Illusion spells that can make me disguised as a dead humanoid until: a certain amount of time or attack someone, since they seem pretty pointless right now.

I can think of 2 dozen things I'd like, but I'll settle for at least one set of realistic looking light armor in the mid range. OH a house near Riverwood in the woods.

My "wishlist"
  • Realism setting - a setting that can be chosen for those who want the game slightly more realistic
    • Darker nights, darker dungeouns to make things like lanterns, torches and night eye more useful
    • If a player goes x hours without eating/resting they becoem fatigued and will regain stamina, health and magicka slower. If he goes too long he will stop regenning until he has rested and eaten.
    • Personal camp equipment that can be used for resting outside cities. With a chance that something can find you and attack you.
    • Fast travel disabled
    • Slightly faster horse speed to compensate for no fast travel
    • Increased prices for more "reasonable world economy"
    • Merchants are a bit more dynamic and can have more or less money depending on various factors
    • Heavy armor less suitable for sneaking around
  • General Gameplay
    • Adding new weapons to the world
      • Spears
      • Halberd
      • Crossbow
      • Flail's
    • Adding new armor type - Medium armor with a perk tree to match
      • This could be either brand new armor stes or the result of mixing light armor with heavy armor
      • It would be less useful for sneaking then light armor, but slightly better at it then heavy armor
    • Mounted combat
    • Seasonal Foliage, the seasons in Skyrim should change according to time of the year ingame
    • More conversation options, and more choices in use of intimidate, charm etc.
  • Perks
    • More specific perk tree's
      • Axe perk tree covers one handed and 2 handed axes, each of the branches improves the selected weapon
      • Sword/Dagger Perk tree same as above
      • Mace perk tree same as above
      • Polearm perk tree covers spears and Halberd's
      • Mounted combat
      • Pickpocket and lockpick is put together in one tree
While a lot of these are possible with mods I would really like that it was implemented by Bethesda to make sure there was no need for 15 different mods that could cause problems with eachother.

I really can't say or add something that would be more important or relevant than those!
