i think im playing fallout 3 wtf...

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:46 am

has anyone else noticed the amount of buildings interiors that are the exact same as fallout 3. ive come across a building that inside is the exact same layout and size to the building in the republic of dave, dave's office... and then one of the casinos in primm has the exact same layout and interior as the germantown police hq... the textures have slightly changed and some furniture has moved but in essence is the exact same. i'm hoping that i dont come across another recyled building from fallout 3....

also ive been having some ai issues where enemies are just standing there, waiting for me to shoot them in the face repeatedly until they die... along with some creatures getting stuck in the environment, like being half in half out of the ground....
there have also been some graphical glitches where objects seem to be there but aren't and they keep flashing in the side of the screen.

One of the reviews I read mentions the resources recycling. A little lazy? maybe, but I can live with it.

And yes, many people are getting the glitches. I've seen bloat flies underground, scorpions in rocks personally. (Refereed to as clipping issues.) All typical Gamebryo engine crap that has been around since Morrowind!

I know what you mean about some areas that have loads of Fallout 3 recycled rubble and stuff but mostly I feel that the combat and general feel is very different.

I'm only just exiting the convicts base and that area was vey recycled but I wanted gameplay similar to Fallout 3. If you didn't it's not the game for you

they reused most of the textures and objects from fallout 3 lol.

i dont mind much, but others probably think obsidian is lazy for it.

It will mostly bother people who feel Bethesda ruined the franchise as they whinged for a "true" fallout and the creators have now decided a true fallout doesn't differ too much from Fallout 3.

The design is sometimes familiar, but not in such a huge way im pissed about it, quite the opposite.....keep in mind, it is 200+ years haha

AI and environment weirdness will happen in open world games, again a few times but nothing im going crazy over.

lovin this game.

Doesn't bother me, it's a good game engine. Alot of new stuff, a complete new game. No reason to do a new engine just "bcoz using the same un is lazy lol"

52.676% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Fact. :-P

Sorry, I had to be Mr. Funny guy. I wouldn't doubt if that was a legit number you posted, though.

There is an open thread with discussion of this. Let's use it.
