I was just thinking back to my first RPG I ever played on a pc, It was Bards tale, wow how things have change, but it was really fun at the time

. I completely get lost into these games when I play them, untill my wife smacks me on the head. LOL

One of my first ones that I can remember was Chrono Trigger for SNES. Didn't really get into RPGS until that one.

Zelda II was my first.

It had towns, NPCs you can talk to, leveling system, dungeons, castles, loot.

Oblivion was my first, I know, I know, I am a little late to the party. Before then I normally preferred strategy games like Age of Empires.

Hmm...My first RPG was probably Eye of the Beholder I (PC).

But it wasn't until Chrono Trigger (SNES) and TES 2: Daggerfall (PC) that I started to like RPGs.

It started like this:

Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III <------- LOVED
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Shadow Run
The Witcher
The Witcher II
Morrowind (Played a lot but don′t remeber why i didn′t finished it)
Oblivion (Finished all quests excepct for mages guild and Shivering Isles expansion that i didn′t like at all)

Ultima 7 was my first... ahhh the good ol days. When I wanted to grow up so I could have a house and apartment.. now I'm wishing I could sit around going to school and play video games all day.

the First RPG I've played was Fable, still the 1st so far is the best Fable game there is

2nd was an MMORPG if that counts, and then Oblivion

First for me was Super Mario RPG (SNES). Great game, although I can't remember very much of it.

Hey, that is like me too. I played Empire Earth and Battle for Middle-Earth. I think that one of the first games on PC I really got into was Rome: Total War.

Of course, I've played several Legend of Zelda titles, but I'm not sure how many of them qualify as RPGs.

If we're not counting table top games, it'd be Legend of Zelda. I grew up really poor so I didn't have access to video games until my teens.

been playing RPG's since i was 3 [ i don't remember when pokemon came out... i think i was playing it when i was three :shrug:] :biggrin: i just never think of pokemon as an RPG but it is and i love it.

My original was probably Zelda: Links Awakening or Final Fantasy Legend 2 for the original Game Boy. I owned both so it's hard to remember which I played first.

What a long way I've come:

Monotone black and white with pixelated sprites, to fully imagined beautiful worlds in HD. Kinda brings a tear to me eye :cry:

Ultima 5 was the first really in-depth RPG I played on a 4 Color CGA monitor. For consoles, my first was Legend of Zelda.

My first RPG was KOTOR for Xbox that was the first game I ever played a whole night through. Then when I got morrowind that turned me on to the whole open world philosophy. Side-note I owned morrowind six different times before I finished the main quest.
