Nine levels after my Breton warrior fled Helgen, she returned to discover it covered by bandits. After defeating them, she explored the city and the keep only to discover that it was exactly as she had left it. The napsack in the chamber, where she stored all of her previous loot was still there.

Even better, she could sleep in the now burnt-down inn, as there is a bed and two storage units there.

My idea is this: I can take all of her stuff from Whiterun to Helgen and turn the city into my home. The burnt down inn is my home, and the keep is...well...I don't know what to do with that.

But is that location safe? I know bandits will respawn, likely, but will anything else. I have set up the bookshelves and tables on the first floor of the inn, so it looks like I live there.

Basically, I want to live there and spend my days either hunting in the surrounding areas, and have an easy level up as I fight the respawning bandits in the city and keep.

So, is it a good idea?

Wonderful! I shall have my Breton move there! xD She has a lot of stuff, though, so she'll have to enlist the help of Lydia for the move.
