Third Person Doesn't Work Anymore : (

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:02 am

I just tried to go back into third person, but it doesn't work for me anymore. : ( It was going smoothly, until about an hour ago. Then my Xbox froze, I restarted, and !BAM! no third person is allowed. : ( Does anyone know a way to fix this without creating a new character?

ps. Does anyone else find this smiley to be a bit on the Nazi side?

While I don't use the Xbox system for NV, have you tried going to Settings/Controls/Default? And in fact setting default to all the Settings and see what happens. Other than that, I'd guess deleting your Options Save file, that is not your game file, and creating a new Options file via a new game and then going back to loading your old game. I'll explain:

- Set all your Settings to default and see if this works.
- Copy your options file, just in case, to a physical media, and then delete it from your system.
- Exit the game, restart it and begin a new game.
- Save a new option file, this should happen automatically if the game discovers you don't have one.
- Load your original game file.

I should point out this is merely advice and I haven't experienced this, I'm just attempting to help.

Apologies that it didn't work, I'm guessing that from your original post that a new game fixes this it could the game file/game save file which unfortunately is not what you want to delete. If it's any consolation in FO3 I used 3rd person and now in NV 3rd person is horrible I use 1st sadly and it seems I am not the only one unhappy at this. Hope you get it fixed.
