This Card with this system : Fallout: New Vegas

So i finally managed to get into my computer with the fried graphics card and get a dxdiag. there is a 700 watt power supply in this svcker also. the card i hope to install is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161348 I have two questions. 1.) Will my system be able to handle it and 2.) Will it run the game smoothly on high settings?

700W what? Brand? Model? Because your last video card fried, I'm concern if the power supply you have is a crap one. The Radeon 6850 actually is a very power efficient card, maybe even more so than the 8800GT that I see in your dxdiag. So the system should be just fine with the card, but what power supply are you using?

Typically, the Inspiron 530 doesn't come with anything more than a pretty decent 305W Dell PSU, so this must be a third party unit.

While 8800s have a tendency to kill themselves these days, i do agree that you should replace that (probably cheaply built) power supply for a lower wattage but reliable one.

It's not the greatest PSU, but it's not bad either. This unit is more like a 550W unit than a 700W one. I've commonly seen these at Best Buy, but it's more than sufficient for your system and the new card.
