This christmas... Dreamworks brings you an adventure like yo

Hello, kinsman!

While I've been playing Skyrim on my xbox till now, I really wanted to play It as It's meant to be (UI aside: mods mods mods!), so I've decided to get a new PC. I already have a good monitor and all that, I'm looking for a desktop PC mainly. I'd also like it to last me for some time, with the possibility of upgrading It in a hopefully distant future. My budget is something arround 1000€, and I mainly use It for gaming pourposes.

So, what graphic card, processor (intel 7i?), ram should I strive for? What are the most recommended especifications? Thank all of you in advance, may you always walk in the grace of Stendarr.

PS.: I hope this is the right forum...

If price isn't an issue, just go for the top-of-the-line specs, that way you can run the game smoothly with your own graphics enhancement tweaks or graphics enhancing mods.

i7 with GTX560ti is more than enough for Skyrim.

If you want more performance and better graphics on other games as well, or if you are going to mod Skyrim heavily Ayer on, go for GTX580.

8g to 16g of ram should be enough. Just buy 4Gx2 now and you double it later if you found 8G not enough.

The only difference between the i5 and i7 is hyperthreading which games DO NOT utilize.
Also, 2 GTX 560 ti's will outperform a single GTX 580 and cost $150 less to boot.
I have 16 GB of ram right now but no games use anything near that much. 8GB will do you for anything out now or the near future.

I wont suggest the OP to buy his rig on this website.

I tried to build one on this website having similar specs as mine, and found it around 50% more expensive than the price I bought it on my own. Also I bought that 7 months ago.(on this web it costs $3707 but when I bought it 7 months ago on my own it costed only around $2500)

Also, one single GTX580 is better than 2xGTX560ti SLI most of the time as most games can't utilize SLI or cant utilize it fully.
The only time it'll show that 2xGTX560ti SLI is better is when you run a benchmark with 3Dmark.
When playing Skyrim I highly doubt a 2xGTX560ti SLI can do much better than a GTX580.
