Is This Consider Cheating or Being Smart & Badass

Post » Fri Jul 20, 2012 7:11 pm

Hello my fellow community I was wonderinf if what I'm doing is consider cheating, yes I know it's a sigle player game.

I started a new character today playing as khajiit and going for assassin/thief, I went with Ralof this time around and safe the two stormcloaks npcs. Now here's were the topic question comes into play I got to the part were the two stormcloak npcs stay behind so I decided to do something that I did before in the past, I snuck up behind one of them and did a kill move which rasied my skill up a level or two, so next I went up to the next and last stormcloak npc and didn't get a kill move till after a few hits which increased few other skills and got my sneak to 30 from 25 and I'm playing on master diffectly. Now where I got the ideal of cheating is you know how you can hit ralof or hadvar and they won't attack you while your in the dugeon therefor you bascilly cheating since they don't die and won't attack back. Now for these npcs that do die I want to know if it still counts as cheating or just being smart and a badass.

I need your opinions on this and would apreachrated it if you could reply soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

P'S sorry for any spell errors and grammar, I find when creating a topic it doesn't include spell check.

Well, it's exploiting game mechanics, so it's an exploit, but not cheating.

Smart and badass? Err... you're being smart I guess.

If your kahjiit is a double crossed that doesn't like people and doesn't trust them so he kills them. Then no it isn't cheating

Well imo exploit is still cheating just a different forum of cheating, and how is it an explotit? is it because the stormcloaks npcs don't attack back?

An exploit is a loophole in game mechanics that helps the player. Yes, it's because the SC's don't attack back.

My last playthough which i only got to level 27 I was a dark elf who was the same class but bad guy and i quit him because I dind't like being dark elf and using mods to make that race look young and faces better. When I was playing him i kill city guards one at a time when i was in the clear to kill w/o no witness.

I plan on doing the same thing this time but I don't really see it as cheating because as long as they attack back if I don't kill them first try then yes, also you could say this the npcs that don't attack back are dumb.

I made this topic mainly to get opinions anf if it was cheating/explotiting then I would stop, my first true playthough I did ejpy up tp level 41 and then i did that book glitch that raises your skills and then beat the game which I didn't mind at first then after a while I got to the point were I regerted it.

I'm also waiting for dg to come out for pc and was thinking playing the game heavly modded or mid-modded to keep the game interesting all tho I really don't need to use mods that change or add new content to the game.

Well would it still be explotiting if I can get a kill move on the second SC npc? there for since I did a kill move no way he could had attack back?

If it is I just restart the last save and only do it to npcs that attack back like the city guards. I never did a playthough were I was a totally badass, I'm usually the goodie two shows guy, and I never really play a khajiit before.
