The others were better.
You could run and jump as fast and high as you liked in the old ones.

Relax OP, listen to this for a second and re-gather yourself under the cool flowing waters.

No you couldn't. What if I wanted to run 10x the speed of light or jump 100 billion miles..

I do really miss jumping from rooftop to rooftop though. In both Morrowind and Oblivion I had a house wherein I never opened the front door, entered and exited only through the balcony.

I do miss being able to improve on athletics and acrobatics. The problem is, now that you don't have specific classes, all characters can train all skills. So all characters would end up like acrobatic gods, even if you have a warrior.

of course the standing stones semi-fix this, but only if you pick one of the three good ones.

A better solution would be adding ''general perks''. For example when you reach level 5, 10, 15, 20, etc you get to pick a general improvement but you have to choose. So you will have to pick between improved acrobatics (jump 1.5 times as high), improved magika pool (magicka times 1.5) and strengths (impact times 1.5). I think this would be a solution to return the benefits of the missing skills and attributes without the breaking system that came with it.

Games that bites:

1. Pin the Tail on the Lion
2. Kick the Slobbering, Rabid Dog
3. Counting Cavities in a Shark's Mouth

Games that doesn't bite:

1. Anything that's comes in DVD or CD format
