This game is full of shameless cheats!

It is funny, really. I run forward slower than an enemy mage, who runs backwards, turns around the corners, while running backwards, and casts spells at the same time. ... And, just to feel the humour, my character is high level and with encumbrance = 0, set by the respective perk. ... And the enemy is just some forsworn forager, and not even a reaper...

That is in addition to the archers, who start hitting your legs and arms, when you are "covered" by a shield, thus nullifying one high level shield perk, and mages, who do the same, thus nullifuing another high-level perk. So, if they hit legs, give me a possibility to Cover the freaking legs. Why the player cartoon must be the slowest and stupidest cartoon in the whole world.

The challenge of combat is only satisfactory if the enemies are clever, but Real.

Seeing as you can dodge arrows/magic spells by moving out of the way I honestly don't see your problem here.

There is no sense in dodging magick spells, when you can't catch the caster. The point is different, though. I don't care about protection, as I can always use all the protecting items. However, I would like to be the same as the opponents, that is be fast and precise and be able to hit moving targets.

The enemies aren't any faster than you are and if you can't hit moving targets you should just try to get better...

What race is your character? The taller races are faster than the shorter ones, though not by much.

Are we playing the same game? My Dovahkiin isn't Daffy Duck man. Or perhaps you're RPing Mickey Mouse? Pinkie Pie mod?

There's quite a few ways around all of this. Whirlwind sprint, become ethereal (to avoid the arrows and magic, and sprint without using stamina), slow poisons, paralyze enchants/poisons/spells, Ice Form shout.

Or ya know, ranged weapons and spells.

I dunno about you, but the difference between a breton chick and an altmer dude is VERY pronounced to me. Maybe I'm impatient, but it's very noticeable.

The become ethereal shout is priceless when you are trying to chase down a backpedalling mage or archer to melee wtih them. Much better than using a shield because you take no damage whatsoever until you take a swing and rematerialize. The cooldown is very fast also so you can use it very frequently. Saves you a bunch of shield perks also that you would normally take to get up to block runner. Works great with dual wield characters.

^I use that shout when I want to take a short cut by jumping off tall mountains.

Are you the Draugr Deathlord I killed yesterday? That's exactly what he would say if he were to post on this forum.

I gotta admit, the AI has pretty good timing with their wards. If I were as good as them, I would use wards.

Or just hide behind a corner and wait for them come to you :lmao:

Run off a fair way, sneak, wait, go back, sneak shot. It's what I do when I run into a much more powerful enemy, sometimes it doesn't work out. :P

Other than that use the area around you tactically, use cover, crouch behind something.

I play sword and board mostly, but I have never had trouble with getting up in peoples faces. No tricks other than just sprinting at them with a slight angle, don't run straight at them, they won't have to adjust aim as much. I sometimes see fireballs go past my shoulders because of the slight angle. So it helps staying alive. :)

Calm spells are your friend here.

Cast calm, walk up to his face. Stab him with an iron dagger (unenchanted of course).
Cast calm. Stab him in the face again.
Cast calm. Stab him in the face again.

Of course you could use a sharper weapon if you are impatient, but where's the fun in that?
