That's sort of a hard question to answer, it's not like inXile has been making assurances that they have an army humdrum developers working night and day to make this as mediocre as possible. :D

From the videos I've seen the game looks like fun. Until you've played it (or at least until it's been released and many other people have played it) I think you'll have a difficult time getting an answer to your question.

if it was an easy question i wouldnt have to ask it :D. but its one of those games you dont know what to think of. sometimes you know a new franchise is gonna bomb, like it was with bioshock or gears of war. sometimes you dont. the graphics look good and the ideas seem to have potential. but i can think of sooo many stuff that can go wrong, especially in coop. and the name bethesda isnt a quality guarantee anymore, just look at wet.

btw donner i remember you from the old forums

In reality the answers you are going to get are opinions of the game and since the game has yet to come out you can't really ask people for their opinions.

Also Bethesda Published WET, they didn't make the game, so you can't really say they aren't a quality guarantee when certainly (in my opinion of course) they make very excellent games.

Games that heavily involve AI companions generally rise or fail on the quality of the co-op AI which really requires that people sit down and give the game a spin. The rest of the game looks great to me: beautiful landscapes, a variety of combat encounters, and humorous characters - and the character skill/progression system looks quite interesting.

I haven't seen a game like this for a while. I really hope it's not one of those games where you just walk through tunnels and stuff and it finishes. I'd like it to be like in a way Oblivion with the exploration so you can like help out different towns but not so much but at the same time. The thing that disappoints me the most is that it uses Unreal Engine, I was hoping an In-built studio engine like InXile hasn't done much since the release of their Bards Tale a couple years back.

I'm pretty sure it isn't a sandbox game.

I think this game WILL be awesome for the people who love this type of game. It won't be awesome for everybody. It won't have Universal appeal. But for those of us who are into this type of thing.....we will love it. Example: When I went into GameStop to reserve my copy, the guy behind the counter looked at me a little funny when I told him I wanted to reserve Hunted: The Demon's Forge. He tried to talk me out of this game and instead get Donkey Kong Country Returns. ??????? !!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me??? He said more people are going to be playing Donkey Kong than this. What do I care??

It's not a sand box game, it's an action game more akin to something like Gears of War. That being said, the developers have put a lot of effort into making exploration an important aspect of the game.
