Gaming on laptops can be, er, problematic.

I've been gaming on laptops for about 10 years.

But, to really work well, you gotta spend the cash and get a gaming specific laptop. Mid-range won't cut it.

At low settings, you're looking at about 40 fps with Skyrim. Also, Diablo 3 is known to have some problems with nVidia mobility cards. Not sure if it's all mobility cards in general or just nVidia, but I've seen quite a few threads on the d3 forums about it.

Thought this thread was going to be about morals, and "what is best for the province"

Turns out it's about a graphics card.

Not sure. Haven't played the console version. I know that BF3's low was the PC equivalent of the console port's visuals. I'm not sure exactly what fps youll be running at, but I suspect an average of 30-40 with that mobile card. For comparison, consoles run at 30fps. That and the PC version is more expandable with mods, but then again with fps that close to just playable you won't be getting a ton of resource intensive mods or texture packs. I'd save for a better laptop or just use the money and build a desktop, tbh.

If the OP wants to get into PC gaming, I recommend learning how to build a desktop. Saves you some money in the long run over laptops.

if you want to game on a pc, get a desktop. More bang for your buck. If you want portability, get a gameboy.
