Is this it? really done with the Thieves guild? [SPOILER ALE

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:47 pm

Hello.

So I just finished the Nightengale side of the TG, and Karliha said she would be back at Nightengale Hall, even though i cant find her there, and if i try to talk with Brynolf, he just says he dont have time for me. Is this supposed to happen? I never got any "benefits" with me being the guild master. I am just wondering because I find this a rather strange ending.

To become the Guild Master you will need to complete the main Thieves Guild questline as well as the four Guild special jobs. The special jobs are obtained by completing five normal jobs in the four main cities: Markarth, Solitude, Whiterun, and Windhelm. They can be any job, for example you can do three numbers job and two shill jobs and you still get the special job for that city. After you've completed both of these tasks you will be told to talk to Brynjolf about becoming the new Guild Master. There is a short ceremony in the middle of the Guild Hall, and Brynjolf will hand you a Tribute Chest key which unlocks the chest near the Guild Master's desk. The Guild periodically places loot in here as a tribute to you, and you are free to take it. You are also told to see Tonilia about getting your Guild Master's Armor set. The Guild Master Armor set appears graphically similar to the set Mercer Frey wears, and is just a boosted version of your other thieves guild armor. -uesp

After performing five total Small Jobs in a city, Delvin will offer that city's special job. It may be less time-consuimg to quit jobs in cities in which you have already completed the Special Job. In order to restore the Thieves' Guild to its former glory and assume the title of Guildmaster, you must perform these four special jobs. Each Special Job will add a new merchant to the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ragged_Flagon and add 1000 to the total gold of all fences in Skyrim, up to the maximum of 4000. Once all special jobs are complete, speak to http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Brynjolf to be officially named Guild Master. - wiki

You can do all the special jobs and small jobs you like but the Litany of Larceny remains broken and Karliah decides that Snow Veil Sanctum is, in fact, Nightgale Hall. The Hall never gets upgraded and your loyal ally Brynjolf decides that he's too busy to talk to you.

Some of the bugs associated with this are supposed to get ironed out with the new patch, which I believe is due out this week. I have been waiting to complete the Thieves Guild qyuestline for that reason. Not sure if the patch will fix those issues for you once you have already completed the questline.

you have to do both before you get to be guildmaster. you can do the small jobs before the main TG quests, but until youve returned the key, they wont name you guildmaster.

Forgive me! I had not realised (until just) that you are a follower of the one who cannot be named - oh wrong made up story thing - I mean of that dude with the horns and the red-lobster tan from story books, like the Bible and such (or anti-Bible - which ever floats your boat).
