Is this something like a PipBoy 5000?

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 12:22 pm

My first reaction to seeing this was, "It's about time they gave the PipBoy some firepower!"

I'll admit that the idea behind this sounds a little odd, but before I go and pass judgment on it I would like to see more. IIRC I saw both Stephen Spielberg and Ron Howard's name in there, both of whom are well known and respected on their field. Maybe it won't be so bad after all.

I bet it'll be pretty awesome, and that's with me not taking it seriously at all. It'll probably just be pure entertainment, but I might be pleasantly surprised.

Sounds a bit dumb at first but I might have to see this. He definitely uses vats in that first combat sequence.

Those are not vampires... except maybe in that third movie, but that's because the guy who directed 30 Days of Nights directed that movie.... yes, my gf is a twilight nut. We made a deal - I watch all the twilight movies, and she watch all the Star Wars movies.

I don't understand the reason behind the question?
Depending on how its handled I don't see a problem with taking it seriously.

It could just as well have been Knights & Aliens, or ancient Egyptians & Aliens.
(or prehistoric Cro-Magnon & Aliens)

Holy smokes.....It's http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Paulson! So that's what happens to him before the Mothership Zeta gets him.

Well, I've read the comics.
Really curious how this one turns out. They say that Stevie Spielberg is an executive producer but I am still not sure... :sadvaultboy:

I thought is was an exceedingly obvious play on "Cowboys & Indians" (which, theoretically, practically every kid played at while growing up). [In the US, at any rate.]

Sure is... But I meant that the time in which it was set did not seem to matter, as aliens could have arrived at any time, back to (and beyond the start of) recorded history.
