So this sounds actually very familiar

So I have been watching Brink since the first announcement trailer, and wow, its kind of a downer. I played a few games on a friends 360 and I literally wanted to sell his game for him because of the lag. I have a PS3 and am a die-hard MAG player (which is actually very good once you get past the learning curve.) MAG has had its fair share of problems, but how do you *bleep* mess up an 8 v 8 game!? I mean MAG has *bleep* 256 players and it only barely lags. That's with one dedicated server in the whole world. I know Brink is PvP servers but really 8 v 8?

Then the content. Splash and Bethesda promised an unheard of amount of customization. Okay, I was thinking like 100s of items of clothing and hundreds of options of building your player. Thats a pipe dream. The level system and skill system is awful compared to MAG. MAG has 70 levels and a vet'ing (prestige) system and like 10 different skill trees with 20 skills each!

The biggest dissapointment for me was the fact of only 8 levels. That is bull. The levels aren't that big. The smallest map on MAG is 3 times the size of one Brink level and there are 18 maps right now, with the biggest ones 25 times the size of a Brink map. I don't care about size but I want more levels. Don't get me started on clans and a group system.

In other words, compared to what is already out, I really find no reason to buy Brink. If Splash and Bethesda can bring out a butt-load of updates and free DLC, then I will buy it. I wanted so desperately to find a reason to buy Brink, but I can't.

Brink needs more maps, a clan system, a revamped leveling and skill system, a ton mroe customization options, and it needs to fix the *bleep* lag. I'm sorry, but 2/3 matches I played at a friends house were so laggy it literally froze the 360 for 10 minutes.

Anyone whos looking for a good alternative, pick up MAG for PS3, join Valor, and message JJordawg. I will try to help you get into my clan KEQ and get you rolling. It's tough at first, but if you work at it MAG is very enjoyable. The KEQ clan has 40+ members active usually at peak hours and our focus is training new players and having a good time.

I will keep checking in on Brink, but I'm not buying it until I see some of my complaints addressed.
