Okay, so I did the last part of the For the Republic, Part 2 quest. But it is saying the quest is still active (but all the objectives are done and faded out...). It's not giving me the quest to protect Kimball... I have examined the blood in the supply closet and have found the foreign user on the in the Visitor's Center lobby computer... I have also attempted to use the dog, to no avail, due to the fact that I don't have Animal Friend. And so I returned to Grant at the observation deck and he is just saying all this stuff that an average NCR soldier would say... Things like, "Nelson's back in our hands. I hope we can defend it this time." or, "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes me wish for a nuclear winter.". I am getting agitated so badly because of this. I am Idolized by the NCR and I would like to keep it that way. NOW HOW DO I GET GRANT TO TRIGGER THE VERTIBIRD TO LAND?! Any answers will be highly appreciated.

did you talk to colonel XXXX, i don't remember the lady name. she will ask you to talk to the other guy in the Visitor hall to discuss about president security.

Everytime I talk to Colonel XXXX (Moore) she says, "Not right now, I'm busy"...

Plus, I sorta kinda JUST said I'm past that. I already talked to Grant and the screen went black and I said I'm ready. I'm sure this is supposed to be where a new objective pops up, but nope. I'm stuck there, thumb stuck up my [censored], waiting for a Vertibird that just won't come because nobody will talk to me...
