This guy on this website said there is only one crossbow in Skyrim's Dawnguard expansion I was wondering is this true or BS... It's on N4G. It really bugs me because Todd said there'd be different Crossbows and then this [censored] apparently talked to one of the developers... Just want to know if this is lies

I heard mention of at least a dwarven and steel crossbow. Not sure of any others.

I sounds like there is only one and you only get it for joining Dawnguard but it is unknown as of right now.

I believe there is a Dwarven one as there are animation files for it in patch 1.6 .. plus the trailer shows one that looks like its a steel crossbow..

So i suspect more than one

-edit- i believe the one crossbow that people are mentioning is probably from being only given one while playing the demo at E3, Beth wasn't sharing all her toys

Only news I can find for it is a very badly written and sketchy news report on some gaming site. It hasn't said who said it or when, and just says "A Q&A with developers".

EDIT: I'm more inclined to believe Todd than some guy on the internet, tbh.

Things like this have been wrong a lot. Only way to know if, Bethesda tells us or wait till people who played the DLC tells you

There will probably be more than one. The person reporting or the one answering the questions probably just misunderstood question.

Also, in an E3 interview, an ~~artist~~ (It was the art directer) from Bethesda said you will get a very powerful dwarven crossbow. I'll try to find the video.

But I would rather trust someone from Bethesda over some reporter.

If there were just steel, Dwarven, Orcish and Daedric I would be fine with that (the latter two just make sense, imagine them, the images are perfect). Glass crossbow, to me at least, seems somehow even weirder than glass armour, if that makes any sense.

My god who is spreading these rumors?

During E3 they told us we were definately getting a "steel" crossbow and a "dwarven" crossbow

that is more than one already.

If there was only one it would be named "crossbow" not "steel crossbow"

I'm positive there is a dwarven crossbow. According to the dude who was being interviewed (forgot his name), they are "very powerful".

I want either a daedric or dragon crossbow that has like a dagon mouth at the end, that would look amazing.

There WILL be more than one crossbow, of that you can be assured, no whether its a whole metals set or just a few selected unsmithable ones, noone knows.

theres an interview somewhere that confirms different crossbows including a dwarven one
and since its a vid interview with a real dev, im taking that as truth over some random ass journalist who doesnt know what hes talking about

This sounds more like it. These rumors about only one crossbow sound to me like it's someone misinterpreting questions/answers and then jumping on the negativity train. I've seen stuff like this happen before.
