I was a city owner in the now deceased mmo work of art that was StarWarsGalaxies.
Player run cities, guild halls, the ability to bring the landscape to life. These elements brought that
game to life, trust me were it not for dev meddling SWG would still be thriving.
An example of the depth of experience my city added;
We had a stage, players hosted events charged creds for entry...even set off virtual fireworks.
We had a bussiness district, player run shops actually had loyal returning customers.
We had the village idiots, vile human being running about in underware....spouting profanities.
What we didn't have, and should have had,
AND WHAT THIS GAME MUST HAVE
Is a system of pve & pvp features which creates the necessity for guilds to hire skills in a variety of types.
Example: Your guild has a hotspot where they are mining, or whatnot. All of the sudden the "Black Sun guild" sends out some mid level pvpers to clear the area and take over.... sooooo the guild leader walks over to his managment terminal, goes to the POST TASK icon, allocates guild tax funds to pay mercs to keep the rival guild at bay, this "help wanted" add could be recieved via pip boy all over gameworld....... Thats the sort of thinking that makes a winning mmo... I am available for hire, and would give you detailed concepts, the likes of which WOW devs never dreamed of....
